The Slovak Ministry of Defence (SVK MOD), based in Bratislava, is a central state administrative body of the Slovak Republic in the field of defence. The SVK MOD was established based on Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No. 347/1990 Coll. on organisation of ministries and other central state administrative bodies of the Slovak Republic and began its work on 1 January 1993.
