About
Founded in 1980 in Tarsus by brothers Hasan Şemsi and Yunus Şemsi, Berdan Cıvata started operations in a 150 m² workshop with 5 employees, including three apprentices. It has become one of the world's leading manufacturers of critical fasteners. Operating in six separate facilities in the Mersin-Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone, covering a total of 48,000 square meters (33,000 square meters of which is covered), Berdan Cıvata employs approximately 300 people, 45 of whom are engineers. Its production of high-strength and critical fasteners such as bolts and studs is highly valued. Berdan Cıvata's hot-cold bolt and nut forging facilities, machining and non-machining production facilities, heat treatment facilities, and surface coating facilities using patented hot-dip galvanizing, electro-galvanizing, zinc lamellar, Teflon coating, and similar applications results in products preferred in energy, infrastructure, oil-gas, and steel construction projects in various parts of the world. Berdan Cıvata, which has Turkey's first test laboratory accredited according to ISO EN 17025, stands out with its own production and patented 500-ton capacity tensile testing machine, one of the most powerful in Europe, and its 33,000 Nm capacity torque testing machine, one of the most powerful in Europe.
